Welcome to the Home Page for the Levis & Lace Square/Contra Dance Club.

 

We are an informal, independent club seeking people interested in exercising their minds and bodies while having fun and making new friends.  We dance in the tradition of  Lloyd "Pappy" Shaw. There are no membership dues, costumes, or expensive dance fees.  The dancing is easy and the only price of admission is showing up and liking people.  So...What are you waiting for?

accepts tax deductable donations for the promotion of demonstrating innovative square dancing.


 
2010

Running July 6 - Aug 30, every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm we will meet at the Jackson Community Center. In September, we return to Belfast and continue there. There are also classes offered thru Continuing Education in Waldo County.  The dance lessons are free to seniors and $28 for non-seniors(28 for 8 weeks=Smokin Good Deal). Starts this fall About Us 2011 @Belfast H.S.   No costumes. No partner needed.  No "out of control" dizzy spins. Just some comfortable shoes and a desire to exercise the mind and body(and smile too!) If interested, please drop a line or call.
We will meet this summer to have an easy, informal set of lessons and dances.

and ASCAP for music licensing. All
music is paid for.
